Visions of Hastings 

Mayoral Prize-giving

Hastings Town Hall 10th October 3pm

The competition, for writing and artwork with a Hastings theme or context, was open to children, young adults and adults. 

All the short-listed entrants will be invited to the prize-giving.

 

The overall first prize is £150 in cash. 

A further £100 will be shared between the runners up.

All shortlisted entrants will be offered a choice of the following prizes:

TAMARA MCKINLEY was born in Launceston, Tasmania, and was forced to come to England with her grandmother to finish her education at an all girls’ boarding school in Sussex. Her childhood experiences and the enduring memories of her amazing grandmother and two extraordinary great-aunts, form the back-bone of her novels which are coloured with the red, green and gold of her beloved Australia.

Tamara now lives and writes on the south coast of England. Her eight Aussie sagas to date are published in at least 15 different languages and can be found worldwide. In her homeland of Australia she is considered by many to be "Britain's Best Kept Secret". She is patron of Hastings Writers Group, and has offered signed copies of her new 'Legacy' trilogy to the Visions of Hastings competition winners.
